Child Protection

Protecting children and providing them with safe spaces in which they can learn, play, and grow is central to the mission of every youth-serving organization.  We commend you for being proactive and for taking this first step to learn about how to prevent child sexual abuse.

This introductory video contains important excerpts from our full-day training seminar with Sharon W. Cooper, MD, FAAP, a renowned expert on child abuse—specifically child sexual exploitation and Internet crimes against children.  She has provided congressional testimonies; lectured nationally and internationally; authored or contributed to textbooks; and trained health care providers, law enforcement, attorneys, judges, chaplains, and social workers.  Dr. Cooper is the CEO of Developmental & Forensic Pediatrics, P.A., a consulting firm that provides medical care, research, training and expert witness experience in child maltreatment cases, as well as medical care for children with disabilities.  She works regularly with numerous national and international investigative agencies on Internet crimes against children cases.  We are grateful to Dr. Cooper for sharing her expertise with us through this training, thus enabling us to share this information with you.

You can watch Dr. Cooper’s full seminar, gain access to affordable background checks, and learn more about creating your own child protection policies and other practical strategies for keeping kids safe at your organization.
