Role at the Foundation: As a program coordinator, it is my job to create and maintain partnerships with youth-serving organizations around the country. I also help train the staff of these organizations on how to run our programs. In addition to this, I work with other program coordinators to run summer camps, youth baseball/softball clinics, and College Experience Days for youth all over the country. Other than that, I am just trying to help the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation continue to grow and achieve their goals in any way I can.
Interests: My largest interest lies in sports. Sports have been an important part of my life since I was young. They have taken me places that I never could have foreseen. I also have a passion for teaching. I love working with children and being able to pass along my skills and knowledge. When I have spare time, I teach pitching lessons and work with little league teams on baseball fundamentals.
Hobbies: I enjoy playing any and all sports. Love to travel when given the opportunity. I also always like to try and have a book in my hand.
Food: My favorite foods are the ones my mother cooks. I love any and all foods that come out of her kitchen. However, I do have a huge weakness for Chipotle.
Favorite outfit: I like a good Jean Yves tone on tone Parisian notch suit. Preferably, single breasted, two buttons, with a notch satin lapel. I’d finish the outfit with a Luigi Borrelli, seven fold white/blue tie and a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo’s. And Penguin costumes.
Favorite movie: My favorite movie changes with the times. The most recent favorites have been Django, Flight, and Wreck it Ralph.
Favorite sports team: Baltimore Ravens and Orioles
If I could spend time with one person it would be: I would like to hang out with Jim Palmer. Jim Palmer is one of the greatest pitchers in baseball history and one of my favorites. It would be incredible to be able to spend a day with him and have the opportunity to hear his knowledge and stories of baseball.
